Welcome to the Children’s Department
Come down to where stories are told, songs are sung and young minds are exposed to the wonders of the world. The Children’s Department serves children from birth through 5th grade their caregivers, teachers, and members of the general public interested in children’s literature. We present weekly programs for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, school age and the caregivers of these children.
⭐We have a Kindergarten Readiness Kit that you can borrow! It contains some fun items to practice skills and guideline cards in English and Spanish to help parents. Ask at the Children’s Desk to borrow it!
⭐Maybe as adults, birthdays just remind us we’re getting older. But for kids, birthdays are the best! Now we have a birthday sticker to give kids on their birthday. Stop by – we’d love to wish them Happy Birthday!
⭐ Thursday June 1st begins registration for the Summer Reading Club and July programs.
